At ARISE, the church is not a building, it’s not an organization, it’s not a meeting. We define the church biblically as a family of redeemed sinners sent together on a mission: make disciples, plant churches, change the world (Matthew 28:19-20). We are constantly engaging culture (1 Cor 9:22), pointing people to Jesus (1 Cor 2:2), and seeking the welfare of our city (Jeremiah 29:7). We work to remove the barriers that separate the sacred from the secular and replace them with bridges (Acts 17). Our preaching is Christ-centric and gospel saturated (1 Cor 2:2). Our ministry is incarnational and relational - grace and truth with flesh on (John 1). To accomplish this, we empower believers to use the gifts and interests God has blessed them with for the Glory of God and the good of our city.
